I dabble in photography from time to time, and sometimes I like to use older cameras to create period pieces, in a sense.
These photos, featuring various locations at UIS, were taken throughout November of 2025 on an iPhone 3GS (3 megapixel sensor with 5x digital zoom, 640x480 resolution, no zoom applied):
University Hall Building in the afternoon
Recreation and Athletics Center in the afternoon
Brookens Library at midday
The Quad and PAC at midday
Stream leading to the koi pond outside of the Health and Sciences Building in the late afternoon
Green space adjacent to Parking Lot B in the late afternoon
These photos are meant to look timeless - as if they could have been taken any time between the phone's release in 2009 to the present day. Intrinsically, they're just low quality photos, but extrinsically, they show that as much as things change, they can also stay the same.
